  • Overview

    Responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, and supporting a company’s computer systems.  Designs and installs LANs, WANs, Internet and intranet systems and network segments.


    • Defines the needs, benefits and technical strategy within the product life-cycle.
    • Monitor and facilitate the daily activities of assigned projects in the hospital.
    • Make recommendations and adjustments to work procedures. 
    • Responsible for ensuring that all scheduled maintenance and reports are done on a timely basis.
    • Coordinate the training of Hospital staff requiring the use of Systems.
    • Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet and Intranet systems.
    • Maintain system efficiency.
    • Troubleshoot problems, make recommendations for short and long term fix, including upgrades.
    • Identify user needs.
    • May assign routing protocols and routing table configuration.
    • Maintain servers.
    • Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, software deployment, security updates and patches.
    • Performs other duties as requested.



    • Associate College Degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. 


    • Minimum three (3) years of experience in Help Desk or other systems capacity. 

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Good attention to detail.
    • Strong evaluation and problem solving skills.
    • Current technology knowledge.

    Licenses, Certifications:

    • Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Unix and Microsoft.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Position requires prolonged periods of standing, reaching, walking throughout the working day. 
    • Position will be required to stoops, bends, lifts, carry items weighing up to 75 pounds.
