Instructional designers serve as an Epic IT Coordinator with additional responsibilities to develop and implement the training program for their applications.
Instructional designers are integral members of the project team and should attend validation and reengineering sessions. During these sessions, they can gain in-depth knowledge of the rationale behind workflow design and learn the system functionality supporting the workflows for their applications.
Instructional designers should attend Epic application training and complete certification in preparation for validation and curriculum development. In addition to application training, instructional designers should attend the Training, Environments, and Documentation class offered at Epic to learn about preparing training curriculum, materials, and environments.
