Responsible for the coordination of work, scheduling of employees and oversight of workflow and coordination of processes. Position typically is responsible for the work of two or more employees, has direct influence over the hiring, training, coaching and counseling for employees under their supervision. This position is for Plant Operations/Engineering area.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is typically required, but may be offset with significant experience in the profession.
A minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory capacity.
Experience working with a unionized workforce.
Plant operations expertise.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong technical knowledge of the area being managed, often serves as the subject matter expert.
Ability to direct and oversee the work of others is required.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
Ability to be decisive based on prior experience and interprets regulations/policy.
Ability to fully utilize BHMC’s electronic record systems, equipment and other healthcare and billing systems relevant to this position.
